1. Thrift shops: I found some really good magickal books at the thrift shop! They were 21st century Wicca, and To ride a Silver Broomstick. I got them for $.25 each and they were practically new! I personally thought it was a steal of a deal because I agree with others that Silver Ravenwolf is not a great author but you CAN LEARN something from EVERYONE even if its only what you DON'T want to be like when you grow up! You can also find offering dishes at the thrift shop, cloth to make sachets, you may even be lucky enough to find an altar table for dirt cheap at a thrift shop! So check them out because one person's trash can be your magickal treasure!
2. Supermarkets and dollar stores: You can find magickal herbs in the spices section, a chalice in the glassware section, and candles and incenses in the utilities section. At my local dollar store I found a all black wine glass for $1 that I was going to use as my chalice after I painted it and consecrated it but, it broke before I got the chance. I also found really cheap candles for spell work in red, blue, and purple at $2.49 for a pack of three. At my local supermarket I found incenses in vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood, and frankincense @ 1.49 for a pack of 60!
3. Garage sales: Garage sales aren't common in my neck of the woods but if they are where you live, don't be afraid to take a look you may find something that you may have been looking for such as candle holders, or jars to store herbs, may be even a cheep cabinet you can paint and turn into you magickal storage that you can have in you closet for those of you who are still in the broom closet.
Magickal shopping online and in a catalog can be fun but it can be even more fun when you actually get to browse and feel your items before you take them home! And who doesn't like the thrill of a hunt?!!?

Frankincense - Draw upon the energy of the sun to create sacred space, consecrate objects, and stimulate positive vibrations

Chalice
Chalices are cups that are used to represent the goddess. They are also associated with the Element of Water and remind us of the Goddess in the Great Rite ritual- a symbolic unification of the male and female energies in which the Athame is lowered into the chalice blessing whatever drink is inside be it wine or water.
