Designing Your Wiccan Studies
Beginning your Wiccan studies can be both exciting and overwhelming! You may feel like you have to memorize all the information that you find along the way to become a witch, but let me inform you that is just not the case. Your best bet and my advice is to start small. You can use the following study plan to guide you. Study at your own pace, learning when you can, how you can. Ask questions, tons and tons of questions!!! Begin from the top or what interests you the most. But no matter where, when, or how you start always remember to make the journey enjoyable!
Below is a Study Guide I created. You can use this to get started in creating your own study guide or you can use this as your study guide. It is broken down into months instead of weeks so you can determine what you would like to study each week. I have also included the names of herbs, crystals, flowers, and fruits in which you are to look up every week to expand your knowledge of correspondences as you learn.
Before getting started I suggest you get a journal or “working” book of shadows. This is where you will write down everything you have learned as you work your way through the study guide. Also be sure to record your thoughts on the different subjects, how you plan to integrate what you have learned into your own personal practice, your experiences in your exercises, and also any questions you may have. Then take time at the end of each month to review all that you have learn.
